My name is Brian McGown, I’ve been in the Painting & Decorating trade since leaving school at the age of sixteen and becoming an apprentice with West Lothian Council.
After my apprenticeship was finish I work for several different painting firms.
In 1990 I landed a job as the Maintenance Painter with West Lothian College. I worked there for 26 years firstly as the maintenance painter but in the last 5 year I qualified and worked as the
Painting & Decorating Lecturer until August when I was made redundant.
I have now decided to take the plunge and be my own boss.
